SCULPTRA®

Sculptra® is an injectable stimulator that boosts the natural production of collagen. As a result, it gradually increases the inner structure, fullness and
radiance of the skin.

Sculptra® Treatments
WHAT TO EXPECT

Sculptra® is what’s known as a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulator. As such, it’s injected just below the outer skin surface to the dermis layer. It works gradually to restore lost volume, especially in the
cheek area and in smile or marionette lines.

In addition, it improves overall skin luminosity and quality. And because Sculptra® works with your body to boost your natural collagen it delivers a natural look.

Collagen is a fibrous protein that sits in the deeper layer of the skin (dermis) and gives our skin its fullness. Furthermore, it works with elastin, which gives our skin its elasticity or bounce-back and our naturally- occurring hydrator hyaluronic acid. (See fillers).

As we grow older the production of skin-plumping collagen slows down. Indeed, by the age of 45, we will have experienced around 25% collagen loss. When this occurs, we may see the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and reduced volume, elasticity and hydration.

RESULTS

Three injections over three to four months are recommended but this will depend on the individual.
The effects are gradual but last for approximately 12-25 months.

In fact, 95% of patients had improved skin glow two years after treatment in the cheek area¹.

In conclusion, Sculptra® is biodegradable and eliminated by the body as carbon dioxide, water, glucose and lactate.
