WHAT TO EXPECT

In addition to reducing extra fat that can accumulate under the chin, some lucky people will also gain some skin tightening benefits.

We use an ingredient known as deoxycholic acid which works to destroy the fat cells in the
area. Deoxycholic acid naturally occurs in our body and helps to break down fat. We use a synthetic version of this which – simply put - does the same thing.

Treatment involves injecting deoxycholic acid under the chin. A minimum of two sessions are required about eight weeks apart.

SIDE EFFECTS

You can expect to experience some swelling for two to four weeks post-treatment. And the
effects won’t be evident after the initial appointment. Rather, it starts working after the
second treatment and some people may require a third or fourth appointment.

RESULTS

There are varying opinions on how long the results of a double chin reduction treatment
last. In some corners, re-treatment is not expected to be needed. On the other hand, some
practitioners say it should last four years.
